La Bodega has expanded beyond concert and music reviews, especially now that Quinn is around. He is almost two weeks old now, so I thought I would post some pictures that I have taken since we have been home from the hospital.
The second album from Jersey punks Titus Andronicus does more than a little to showcase their affinity for Springsteen. On the first song of the album they take one of his most notable lines and change one word to fit their punk rock motif - "Baby we were born to die." And so it begins. Lead singer Patrick Stickles sounds like he drank a bomber of gravel in between their debut and The Monitor. Punk rock isn't supposed to sound this epic, as all of the songs are extremely long winded, and to say they are anthemic would be an understatement. Supposedly it is a concept album loosely based on the Civil War. I'm not sure about that, but what I am sure about is I am excited to see these guys play these songs out live this summer.
